It doesn’t seem like four years ago when the Eagles met the Ravens at Baltimore. It was the last of a miserable three week period. After going 5-3 at mid-season, the roof fell in. On a Sunday night at home, the Philadelphia Eagles lost to the New York Giants 36 to 31. A week later at Cincinnati, Andy Reid settled for a field goal on short yardage at the Bengal 15. David Ackers booted it through but there was no comfort in the 13 all tie with the woeful Bengals.
At Baltimore, the Ravens destroyed the Eagles 36 to 7. Coach Reid pulled Donovan McNabb out after a horrible first half. Quintin Demps returned a kickoff for a touchdown just before halftime and the Eagles trailed only 10 to 7. Kevin Kolb played played the second half and, as the final scored showed, he was even worse. Philadelphia fell to 5-5-1 and we thought they were out. They came back to within one series of the Super Bowl.
This Sunday’s game will be a real test of how good the Eagles are. A route this time would really raise some doubts.
